Held at the Abuja Guards Polo Club from December 4th to 15th, the tournament drew a remarkable audience of high-profile guests, corporate magnates, and polo aficionados from Nigeria and beyond. The highlight of the tournament, the Moniepoint Cup, saw STL Polo engage in a gripping contest against Rubicon Polo Club, delivering an unforgettable clash of tactical brilliance and horsemanship. In a nail-biting match, STL Polo emerged victorious with a final score of 8-5.5, firmly establishing themselves as a rising powerhouse in Nigeria’s polo scene.

The game turned into a masterclass of teamwork and skill after the second chukker, with Simon Prado showcasing exceptional strategic gameplay that shifted the momentum in STL’s favor. Guided by Seyi Tinubu’s leadership, team members Yasin Amusan and Kwame Isa executed their roles flawlessly, securing the prestigious cup.

Rubicon Polo Club, featuring a formidable lineup of Mujahid Sirika, Abdurrahman Sirika, Captain Abdulmalik Badamasi, and Idris Badamasi, proved to be worthy adversaries. Their resilience and tactical expertise pushed STL Polo to their limits, making each chukker a thrilling contest.
