From Abuja, Nigeria, to Milwaukee, USA: Congratulations, World Champions! 🏆
🇳🇬🤝🇺🇸⚾
TWO CITIES. TWO CONTINENTS. ONE HISTORIC CELEBRATION!
Milwaukee, YOUR VICTORY IS OUR CELEBRATION! 🎉
Thousands of miles away in Abuja, Nigeria, we're raising a toast to our American sister city as the Milwaukee Brewers make history, winning their FIRST-EVER WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆
After a remarkable journey, the Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4–1 in Game 5 to bring baseball's biggest prize home to Milwaukee!
But here's something many baseball fans may not know…
🌍 MILWAUKEE AND ABUJA ARE OFFICIAL SISTER CITIES!
On December 13, 2023, Milwaukee and Abuja formally established a sister-city partnership, building a bridge between Wisconsin and Nigeria's capital through culture, education, business and friendship.
Today, that bridge carries a message:
DEAR MILWAUKEE, ABUJA IS PROUD OF YOU! ❤️
From the streets of Milwaukee to the boulevards of Abuja, great cities are built on determination, resilience, community and the belief that anything is possible.
Your Brewers have just proved it to the world!
🤝 AND THE FRIENDSHIP DOESN'T END WITH BASEBALL.
Through Friends of Abuja, we're building new connections between Nigerians, Americans, the African diaspora, entrepreneurs, investors and friends of our great city around the world.
Let's turn our sister-city relationship into real opportunities, lasting friendships and shared success.
