If you’ve been looking for a fun and refreshing way to unwind in Abuja, especially with the constant heat, then a visit to Sunrise Waterpark might be exactly what you need.

Thanks to AbujaCityDotCom, discovering unique places like this has become so much easier and this time, I decided to try something different: a solo soft life day at a water park.

🎟️ Entry & First Impressions

On arrival, I paid ₦33,750, thanks to a 25% discount they were offering at the time, which made the experience feel more affordable and worthwhile.

After payment, I was given a wristband used for scanning and gaining access into the park. The process was smooth and organized, which immediately set a good tone for the day.

🚿 Clean Facilities & Changing Area

One thing that stood out was the changing area. It was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed.

There are multiple toilets available, and the mirrors are spotless, giving the whole space a very aesthetic feel perfect for those soft life mirror selfies. It’s clear that attention was paid to hygiene and comfort.

For visitors with personal belongings, lockers are also available at a cost of ₦3,000, providing a safe place to store your items while you enjoy the park.

🌊 Atmosphere & Relaxation Spots

As I explored the space, I noticed how lively yet relaxing the environment felt. There were many people enjoying the pools, and the overall atmosphere was vibrant without being overwhelming.

There are also designated areas where you can simply sit, relax, and take in the view ideal if you’re not looking to do too much but still want to enjoy the experience.

Food and refreshment spots are available within the park, offering snacks, drinks, and even popcorn, so you don’t have to worry about leaving the premises when you get hungry.

🎢 Activities & Water Experience

The park offers a variety of fun activities, especially around the slides section. However, if you’re like me and not much of a swimmer, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy your time.

There are sections with floaters where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the water at your own pace. For me, that was a perfect balance between fun and comfort.

There are also areas where water pours down, creating a playful and refreshing experience. That part, in particular, brought out my inner child and ended up being one of my favorite moments.

Overall, it was a calm, enjoyable, and refreshing experience even as a solo outing.

Sunrise Waterpark is definitely a place you can visit anytime, especially considering how hot Abuja can get. Whether you’re going alone, with friends, or with family, there’s something for everyone.
